Internationally renowned Philadelphia-based graffiti artist Ernel Martinez recently hooked up with budding painters from the Moville Family Resource centre and the Playhouse in Derry before tackling a wall between Gillen’s supermarket and the Allied Irish Bank. The new wall is a kaleidoscope of gaudy colours, arranged in the style of a stained glass window.

ReplyDeleteNice. I think lots of places hire artists to paint structures like this, thinking that perhaps it will prevent the hooligan graffiti painters from defiling the walls.
