Killybegs is Ireland’s largest fishing port located in the waters of Donegal Bay.
That's interesting, Bill. Sounds like a great initiative.
What a unique idea, one I had not come across before!
You have men's caves and now also men's sheds. Never seen one or heard about one before. Also after reading the link you gave its still not completely clear to me. Still thanks for showing.
An unknown phenomenon to me, what are they talking about in there?
Some of the things that they offer is a place for men to use their skills and share their knowledge. Most of the men are retired. They have also offered courses on model yacht/boat building, woodworking and water colour painting. Some of the things they do are community based such as making the flower boxes that are all around town.
It's sort of like a man-cave in a house...a place for men to get away from women and do their thing? Seriously, I like it and think it serves a wonderful service. A lot of men retire and end up doing nothing for a variety of reasons. This opens up possibilities.
Yes I agree, the Men's Shed is such a good idea, we have them here also. It looks like one or two of the men in this shed are artistically inclined Bill 😊
That's the first time I've heard the term.
Thanks for the link. I've learned something new. That's a colorful paint job on this one.
I've never heard of such a thing either. Seems to be something more than a social club which is what I thought of at first.
Wait a minute! What's Catherine's name doing there? :-)
Now there's a great idea that's long overdue! The women in our neighborhood get together regularly. The men? Most of them are home, most of them don't know one another. Men can get way too isolated, especially in retirement.
More and more murals I see it sure adds something nice.Coffee is on
I've heard of Man Caves and now She Sheds, but never of a Men's Shed. The murals are really nice and vibrant!
That's a fun mural!
This is unusual. I don't think I am touchy feely enough to find my community in a men's shed.
What a great GREEN mural.I also like the LIGHT in the image.
