the flags

(L-R)  County Donegal, Ireland and Moville flags.  I have tried to photograph these flags before and it's rather hard.  You either have no wind, wind but not enough to extend the flags or they get wrapped around the pole and just hang.  I was walking up from the shore and saw that the flags were blowing pretty good.  So this is the best I've gotten so far.

Busy days for the Inish Adventures crew.  They offer lessons in kayak, canoe and sailing and also have summer camps and trips.  Now is their busy time with school just ending and the tourist season in full swing.  All this happens on Lough Foyle so grab your paddle and have some fun!

the tree

The tree, also known as the "big tree" in Market Square is where people meet for whatever reason.  Everyone knows where it is.  The "big tree" is approximately 160 years old and is very special to the local people.  They love this tree!
Just past the tree you can see the veg man's stand with the awning plus a bus pulling in with tourists.

field trip

These young kids were out in a canoe learning how to navigate.  The teacher is the person sitting in the rear.  I happened to see them when I was down at the pier.  They seemed excited!

mixed weather

Cloudy, windy, occasional light rain, occasional heavy rain, a bit of sun and not much else!  I guess we got all kinds of weather rolled into one day.
