I roll through an ATM at my bank in my car, regularly. Because using plastic to pay for things means a fee that banks charge merchants, and I save them (especially the local ones) that expense by paying cash.
Banks are sometimes replaced by ATM machines. But as more places accept credit cards, the need for cash is decreasing. Ironically only poor people still rely on cash.
Hello Bill :=) One day I wonder if cash will be obsolete. Many banks closed in my town, and I pay everything with my cards. I read that you will be taking a break, I hope you enjoy whatever pleases you to do. You will be missed! :=)
The colour looks great. What a candid street shot
ReplyDeleteWe can get cash in almost every supermarket here...
ReplyDeleteOne doesn't usual see more than one person trying to get the cash.

One thing I learned on my last trip to London, cash wasn't needed anywhere I went. It seemed like everyone took cards.
ReplyDeleteThe only one in town? Wow, we have so many of them here.
ReplyDeleteI like that it's colorful and stands out!
ReplyDeleteThat is nice capture.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan

Gostei de ver... mas parece-me que para uma cidade, ainda que pequena, precisa haver mais alternativas...
ReplyDeleteUm grande abraço! Feliz semana!
