the guinness tower
The Guinness Tower was built in 1864 by Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness, situated on the property of Ashford Castle located in Cong, Co. Mayo.
I researched and enjoyed getting to know the great and ancient Ashford Castle. This tower is well camouflaged... Lots of history involved! I enjoyed getting to know Ireland better. Good week, Bill. 🌟
A long time ago Bill but its still standing. Nice.

ReplyDeleteA place to be on one's own?
ReplyDeleteThis tower must have been built as a "folly" as it could not have had any purpose for defense at this late date.
