storm barra

hit us full force yesterday.  Gusty winds, power outages and some flooding.  We had a power outage for a few hours when the storm first arrived on Tuesday but no flooding.  It was supposed to be gone by Wed. but the forecast got updated and changed.  The winds have died down tonight and hopefully that will be it.  This is a photo I took through our window yesterday morning.  It was way to windy to be outside plus I didn't want to get blown away. :)

  5. If those lines are for power delivery I can understand why it fails sometimes by heavy winds. But a beautiful view from your window.

  8. It is the best place to see the bad weather, the window of the house, warm and wait for the storm to pass, here it is hitting the north also strong.
    Best regards.

  9. ...your new header image is a treat. I remember as a kid that storms didn't have names, they were just a part of life.

  13. You are definitely a wise photographer by now. Hope the storm brought some needed rain and didn't destroy too much. Those straight winds took down a lot of trees here back in May. Of course, they weren't the sturdiest trees to begin with but they'd been canopying our streets for a long while and they were beautiful during the fall.
