  7. Pity of roof, they would probably be hotter for winter. For rain,I don't know.Maybe, to restore the house with their straw roof would be the best.

  11. They always seem to show wonderfully groomed thatch roofs on TV. That one is a real mess.

  12. Those structure may be sound, but the owners better get roofs on them or that will be the end of the structure as well.

  17. That thatched roof needs replacing, but I understand it is quite expensive to do that these days. Thatch used to be for the poor, now just for the wealthy.
