It looks as if years have gone by since maybe a fire which took out one end of the building...and of course then nobody lived there. Yes sad, but I always think of how it had been before that event, what the people might have been like.
Every time I have seen a similar derelict house, and there were many we saw on backroads of the VA Eastern Shore when we lived there, I have wondered who once lived there and why he/she/they left and let a home abandoned. But, never knew as most likely in the case of this place.
I do not understand how people can forget a house?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they weren't lucky dar ...
Wonderful photo, even though it depicts sadness and abandonment. You really are good at expressive photos, Bill.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
...a new roof and it might be as good as new!
ReplyDeleteThis looks sad, hope they will restore it...
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad sight!
ReplyDeleteForgotten for sure. This building needs a lot of help.
ReplyDeleteNice capture on the move and and the house looks partially good to restore.
ReplyDeleteHello, the roof is a goner, it looks like it will be taken over by the greenery. Wishing you a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh the stories which lie amid the crumbling wood.
ReplyDeleteThere are people equally old and forgotten unfortunately, and some look almost as derelict.
ReplyDeleteStill photogenic.
ReplyDelete;)
What a shame Bill, could still be saved though.. maybe 😊

ReplyDeleteIt looks like it's falling inward.
ReplyDeleteDilapidated
ReplyDeleteSad to see houses falling down but I like to think that it was a happy home at one time.
ReplyDeleteHopefully someone buys the land and builds a nice house there.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is beyond repair.
ReplyDeleteThat building has been empty for a long time. Someone's dreams have died.
ReplyDelete..and getting lots of attention today on your blog 😊
ReplyDeleteHa Bill. dit vindt ik nu eens koel, ik hou daar van. erg mooi voor fotografie.
ReplyDeleteGroet Kees.
I'm thinking there are a lot of stories in that building, Bill. It looks so sad now.
ReplyDeleteif it be repaired, it will be excellent
ReplyDeleteIt matches my derelict medical clinic
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the tree in the foreground isn't doing well, either.
ReplyDeleteSure is as the roofs caved in. Was someones home once.
ReplyDeleteNice old house, I like finding old properties, makes me wonder about their stories.
ReplyDeleteAw how sad. Doesn't look like it is going to be saved

Hi Bill.
ReplyDeleteAlways a shame to see it this way.
Seemed to be a nice place to live.
Greeting from Patricia.
Bill - it makes me think of the people who originally worked on the house, especially the roof tiles. What would they think if they could see it now?
