The Creagh House was built in 1875 by Colonel Charles Howe Cuff Knox, one of the big landlords in the area.  In 1924 the Creagh estate became a TB sanatorium.  Reduced in size in the 1930s by fire, when part of it was demolished, there still remains today a sizeable period house of around 6000 square feet.  The Craigh House is in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.

I would have liked to see what the books were.  Books and a beer :)


This served as part of the sanatorium, maybe for the patients to be examined or quarantined.
