  1. So for an extra 5 pound you can have bubbly - wonder what their afternoon tea consists of - be interesting to know.

  2. 1 o'clock seems a bit early for afternoon tea to this Englishman. But I just clicked on the link and I see they have the same tea-pot and milk jug that my mother used to have, so I'd gladly take tea there.

  3. I am never quite sure what is included with afternoon tea. The term seems to be used interchangeably as tea and scones, or the main meal of the day.

  11. Afternoon tea, yes, let's go! I hope they have lots of fancy sandwiches and little cakes. But 20 euros seems quite expensive.

  14. Oh I would soooo love that my friend Bill! I love tea and cakes so much! But I suddenly remembered my 10 euro budget per meal when I was backpacking around EU so that's beyond my budget I guess HAHAHAHA Sending warm hugs from the Philippines my friend!

  15. Never considered bubbly as appropriate with tea. That would be a good way to miss much of the afternoon and early evening.

  25. Bring it on! Especially if it is a cream tea with scones .... (and especially if it is “covid-safe”... we haven’t been to a restaurant in so long, I probably wouldn’t know how to behave any more.)

  30. The flags steal the show, can you explain? (Why they are there in the way they are there)

    1. The Irish flag is on top, the one on the right is the EU and the other is US. I imagine they are there because of the relationship with the US and being a member of the EU.
