a touch of autumn, one of the few trees that's showing some colour in the neighborhood. The leaves don't last very long on the trees and there is not much colour before the wind blows them all away.
When I lived back east, I noticed that some years there would be brilliant color on the trees and other years just a small amount and whoosh they were gone. I wonder if it has to do with temperature or rainfall.
They are pretty. The fall colours here are slow thus far, and I'm not sure if that two weeks plus warm spell are going to have a detrimental effect on them.
It's too bad those leaves don't last a little longer. But they are pretty and it's nice you get to see them for awhile, anyway! Do you know what that "Christian Centre" in the background is all about?
I love seeing the fall colors, but don't actually have much of it where I live. (palm trees mostly). I have to travel to see beautiful sights like these. Travel and visit the blogs of others! Like yours...
Hi Bill.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful autumn impression.
Groettie from Patricia.
It happens every year - and every year it takes us by surprise!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are changing fast now.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing the leaves turn but as you say it happens quickly & doesn't last long, not with the strong winds we've been experiencing!
ReplyDeleteIt is started indeed. Nice views.
ReplyDeleteI always like this period with the changing colours. It is only a short time to watch the beautiful reds.
ReplyDelete...I'm afraid that we are going to have dull colors this year.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a beautiful town!
ReplyDeleteThe trees are nicely located.
ReplyDeleteYou have had some rainy days, we cam tell. : )
Enjoy the weekend, Bill.

ReplyDeleteYup. It has started in New England, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely trees. Ours don't last long, either, but it looks like the rains have come your way sooner. We're just starting to see that part of autumn.
