signs and sights
is part of Swan Park in Buncrana. It is closed now due to flooding during one of the storms we had earlier. There's a lot of work to be done before it will open again to the public. As you walk through the trail, you see signs on little plaques identifying the different trees, leaves and plants. Also there are some for animal tracks. It's a very easy and nice walk. These photos were taken in the summer of 2016 on one of our trips to Buncrana. We're told we are going experience some crappy weather this week with snow, sleet or rain plus it's going to be colder. So this is a good time to show these summer images.

blue sky and a bird
looking down at the rooftops of Moville from the recycle area. That's the UK across Lough Foyle. The blue sky is from Wed, now we are back to cloudy and rain. :(

a flower and a bee
yesterday I went to the community garden area to put some stuff in the compost bin. When I got there I was surprised to see a flower sticking out of a bin with a bee busy working away. It was rather nice out but the cooler temps and rain are supposed to return for the weekend.

fire starter
the kid had some small branches and was trying to get a fire going. I guess dad was just supervising if that was his dad. I don't know if a fire is allowed but I never seen a sign saying no fires permitted. It's the first one I saw here near the shore walk.

the parade
commenced and there was no rain just cold temps and wind. Behind the people were trucks with bunting, fire engines, ambulances and a few tractors, all with ads for their services. The people walking looked cold but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Another fun small community event, well done by everyone.

window displays for St. Patrick's Day
Winter might be returning this weekend and could rain, sleet or snow on our parade plus it’s going to be cold. There will be vendors and music down in Market Square but like last year they didn’t do very well because it rained pretty steadily all day. The pubs will do fine, they always do. :)

say hello
to the friendly sheep. I give thanks to the sheep for all my wool hats that Shari has made for me through the years. They keep the head nice and warm. :)
here's a few hats that the sheep provided the wool for. The blue one is still in process. I'd have to say I'm lucky to have a partner that is talented in creating. Thank you Shari.

I see you
When you walk pass this street, this dog always barks and sticks his head out to look at you. He has an older partner but he doesn't get up, he lets his friend do all the barking.
