  4. I recently discovered my great grandfather was from Cork, information I never imagined I’d have. My dream is to visit there for St. Patrick’s Day one year.

  5. St. Patrick's Day is well celebrated here as well, as I said. Toronto becomes a green city for one day! : ))

I have bought green scones in the past! But not green beer. : )

  6. ours is saturday...it's a huge event downtown...it's really fun...lots of colorful people and green beer ;) a woman was talking on the news the other day who is from ireland and now lives here and said how we celebrate it a lot differently than you do in ireland...to us it's basically a drinking holiday and everyone is irish haha...i'm going to skip out this year though because it is supposed to be really cold and snowy and rainy!

  11. So I've been told (apparently erroneously) that the irish don't do St. Paddy's and leprechauns or pot's o gold. Additionally, that my very favorite corned beef and cabbage is not commonly eaten in the greening country on the planet. Looks like I might have been steered wrong.

  12. That is a very attractive sign. Love the lettering and the colors. Now, if only St. Patty makes an appearance.

  19. Very nice photo Bill. With or without the sign.
We are deep in the desert so no parade here. Although someone in the campground is cooking corn beef, cabbage and all the rest tomorrow, and we are invited.
