where does the time go?
It's been awhile. I thought about leaving the blog behind but here I am again. I'll be posting only a few times a week instead of every day. With the holidays upon us, we'll be busy and then when 2026 comes around, it'll be house and dog sitting once again for the month of January and some of February. After that I hope to be back to the normal posting procedure again. Thanks for all your comments concerning my well being. I am fine, time just moves too fast for me. Have a wonderful holiday season and stay safe.
The photo below is the beach at Magheraclogher which is about a ten inute walk from out house.

little house
up the road from the beach, about a 5 min walk. Needs some TLC. It is vacant and I don't know the status of the house but I like it.

mother nature's art
these are some of the rocks I see when I looking for sea glass that washes up on shore. I find them very amazing and I enjoy looking at them. The sea glass we used for crafty ideas. I find lots of clear glass and lately I've been finding green, brown, aqua, and blue. Red is very hard to find according to a source on sea glass that I read. Someday though...
I found this little tree like branch growing out of the rock. Very cool and I love the shadow it creates.
another shot of it from a different angle
abstract looking rocks, very smooth from the water flowing over them
some of the glass that I found. It's like winning a prize :)

bird gathering
went to the beach and saw all these birds flying around. I thought there might be some fish in the area, I didn't see any but then again maybe they did.

the beach
looking toward the pier. The tall white house you see is the ark house which you may remember. This wee beach is good for finding pieces of pottery and sea glass which we collect to use in some of our craft projects.

vacant
This house is right down by the beach about a one minute walk and no one seems to live there. It's not for sale so I don't know what's up with it. It would be a nice little place to fix up and call home.

lough swilly
A view of Lough Swilly from Buncrana. We were there last Tuesday and the beach was quiet and peaceful.

Gaelic football
We happened to be on the beach side when I noticed there was a football game going on. I don't know if it was a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) sponsored game or just a practice. It made me think that this was a nice place to play or practice the game.

the cinema and castle avenue
We went to Bruncrana the other day and had a chance to walk around and see what is there. The bus left us off down the road and we started to walk toward the water once we saw it. Crossing the street, the cinema was the first interesting building we saw and of course it was listed on the Buncrana Heritage Trail. There was a map and a picture of the cinema with a little info. After photographing this building, we headed down Castle Avenue and toward the water. The info on the cinema and Castle Avenue which was right behind me when I took this photo.
The town's west end, where the present Castle Avenue joins Upper Main Street, marks the beginning of Col. George Vaughan’s urban development of the “new” Buncrana, away from the “old Town” on the western bank of the Crana River (c.1718). The cinema (St. Mary’s Hall) with its distinctive, pastiche Baroque facade, dominates the junction.

You arrive here when you reach the bottom of Castle Avenue. There are some interesting things down there and I'll share them tomorrow.
