  7. What a nicely proportioned church, with an elegant steeple. There's something poetically apt about golden leaves in a churchyard.

  8. A fine old church built to last and to give the impression that its message is time-less and everlasting. I never feel that way about the many shopping center churches here or the small wood shacks on their last legs out in the woods. We have lots of those. We also have places like that Osteen operation in Houston which meets in an arena and usually has about 30,000 people on a Sunday. Of course, he preaches that God wants you to be wealthy and if you just give him some money and follow his advice, God will make you rich, too. Somewhere Osteen lost his soul and forgot the message that rich people will have no place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Here ends the sermon for the day! :)
