community green space
on a dull day. It's located about a mile from where we live. We'll have to revisit it in the spring when nature is rejuvenating itself.

skywatch friday
The heat wave still is going on. Irish Water have introduced a hosepipe ban across the country. It begins today and will last at least to the end of the month. The ban prohibits people using their garden hose, with a few minor exceptions. People will not be allowed to use a hosepipe to water their garden or potted plants, wash their car or boat, or fill a paddling pool, pond, or water fountain.
People can still water their garden and plants using a watering can.

passing the time
This person found a spot with no one around to watch the ship sail by. This is one of the many places you can stop and take in the view on the Moville-Greencastle Shore Walk. There are certain times when walking you will only see a few people on the shore walk. On this day I saw four people, 2 running, one woman walking her dog and one person in the water which had to be cold.

fintra beach
Fintra beach is a beautiful sandy beach just a couple of kilometers outside of Killybegs. We haven't walked there yet but will do it as soon as the weather allows. We usually catch a ride with one of our neighbors and it is a great place to hang out for an afternoon, take a walk or just sit and stare at the scenery.
Fintra beach, along with 12 other Donegal beaches, has been awarded a Blue Flag. ("Beaches are awarded the Blue Flag based on compliance with 32 criteria covering the following:
1) Environmental Education and Information 2) Water Quality 3) Environmental Management 4) Safety and Services All Blue Flags are awarded for one season at a time. If the criteria are not fulfilled during the season or the conditions change, the Blue Flag may be withdrawn."
