the big tree

down by the kid's playground at Killybegs harbour.  Not sure what kind of tree it is but it's usually packed with birds in the spring.

cdp theme day - bottle

I saw this bottle on a walk to the grocery store two years ago.  Have no idea what it means.  Could be just a bottle on a tree.:)

the singing tree

walking past this tree, you could hear the birds singing.  I stopped to look but couldn't see any.

trimming experts

working trimming all of these overgrown branches.  They probably weren't trimmed in many years.

the aftermath
the branches reached the building on the other side and had to be removed.  You couldn't see the small pinkish building across the river.  The owners were afraid of the buildings being damaged.  There are a couple of buildings on the left side but not shown in the photo that the branches also touched.  I took these photos from the street bridge.

before and after

Last week when we were in Dungloe, I noticed the tree was cut down and a new fence was added in the back.  The metal pole was still in place though.
