  7. I imagine Roddy's was the one sold, not the Guinness truck! Hope the new owners provide good quality fun and spirits. Thatch is definitely a good name for second establishment.

  8. The Guinness sign on that van is classic Ireland, and I see it is parked in a no paring zone. Hope the Thatch restaurant has good food.

  22. While visiting Ireland last summer, our tour guide explained the long history of thatched roofs and that the word eavesdropping came from Irish folk hiding (unbeknownst) under the neighbour's thatched roof to avoid the rain. Love that story (and all things Irish).
