Not seen peat in ages!
I have come across piles of much worse on my walks!
Thats a long time ago when I saw peat indeed.

Amazing. What a find.God bless, Bill.
You don´t see that here. Maybe at my Parents in law, but... Corinna...Have a nice Sunday, Bill.
I thought it was a pile of wood. I have never seen a pile of peat.Take care, have a happy new week!
Don't think I have ever seen peat, but we do have two compost going in the back yard. Interesting photo!
We used to live in a peat area.
Wouldn’t have known it if I’d step in it.
...for fuel?
yes, people still use it for fuel.
Alternate fuel?
Some people still use it along with wood.
What a surprise!
It looks like it was dumped there.
You find all sort of different things...
Will someone come back for it later?
I would expect them to come back for it. It does take a lot of time to cut it all in to strips.
Interesting find you got there.
Is peat still used in homes there?
Yes, some people still use it.
En los largos paseos, se hacen buenos descubrimientos, que bien los puedes reflejar en las fotografÃas.
When we were in Ireland we visited a place where we saw them cutting the peat. Hard work.
Peat harvesting is not done here.
Peat fascinates me. I toook any number of photos of it in Connemara when we were there, and was thrilled to stay in houses that burned it. Something so ancient and so homely about it.
Uy no la conocÃa hasta que vi tu fotografÃa. Te mando un beso
That's a nice picture - we have peat moss in the highlands on this Island.
