When I walk with WW, I usually have my hiking pole with me, but do the cars stop at crosswalks to let us walk safely? Not all of them, even after I wave my pole at them. Ice isn't the only treacherous thing during the winter months. . .actually anytime of the year, cars loom dangerously. Great photo of reality for older, slow folks out walking.
A beautiful composition, Bill. The light is perfect and I love how you lead the eye to the sea. The old lady pulls it all together and gives it a sense of angst. One cannot help but want to get up and help her make those final steps. Hope you're having a great day!
Oooh, I don't like those slippy conditions. And it looks as if that woman is just about to step onto ice. Your shot has caught one of the sneakier dangers of winter.
No meu paĂs, Brasil, acabamos de entrar no outono. No seu paĂs, vocĂȘ jĂĄ deve estar sentindo o perfume das flores. A foto revela uma cena bonita do cotidiano.
The weather looks same here.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've to say I like a lot your previous photos.
My very late Happy New Year -greetings for you.
The view down Moville main street to the lough is really picturesque!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of getting on with life in winter, Bill.
Better cautious then a broken hip.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hate that ice in the streets, so slippery to walk on and lose your balance. I prefer snow walks..:)
ReplyDeleteIce on the sidewalks.. every seniors fear.
ReplyDeleteTake care ! đ
ReplyDeleteHello Bill!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture!
Like the view at the end of the street!
The view must be spectacular!
Have a happy weekend!
Dimi...
Slippy is a term used on this island too, Bill!
ReplyDelete...watch your step!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very good idea! Broken bones are not fun at any age but so much worse when we are older.
ReplyDeleteOne has to be so careful walking on slippery pavements.
ReplyDeleteTreacherous conditions!

ReplyDeleteI love the view you captured!
ReplyDeleteVery good to be careful on a walk.

ReplyDeleteShe needs some cleats on those shoes!
ReplyDeleteThat does look very slippy. I broke my ankle about 3 years ago, and I try very hard to stay in when the roads/walks have ice.
ReplyDeleteI bet you'd have to be quite careful and walk slowly across the road.

ReplyDeleteFortunately no traffic. Beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteOh it does look cold Bill! What a super shot with the glimpse of the sea in the background.
ReplyDeleteAh, Bill, this will be us one day, sooner than we would like.
ReplyDeleteShe is getting around pretty well. I hope I can say the same in a few years.
ReplyDeleteI hate slippy sidewalks...our local health services made a public service ad telling people to shuffle like a penguin to avoid falls. LOL
