Errigal is a 751-metre mountain near Gweedore in County Donegal, Ireland. It is the tallest peak of the Derryveagh Mountains and the tallest peak in County Donegal. Errigal is also the most southern and the highest of the mountain chain called the "Seven Sisters" by locals. Wikipedia
We have a city in the Netherlands called Valkenburg. Wonder if there is a connection.

It sounds dutch indeed, valken are falcons and as SC mentioned already we have a city here with the same name.

ReplyDeleteNow you have to sole the mystery of the name and its origin, Bill, to satisfy the curiosity of your blog visitors. The facade has flowers but I think it needs a little more. . .shutters perhaps?
