  9. For this snail it is not the destination, it is the journey. It may not be fast, but this snail is persistent.

  12. I love watching little garden visitors like this brave crawler. Whenever I spot them moving across rough paths, I always hope they find a delicious patch of green leaves soon. Slow living looks wonderful on them.

  14. Looks like fairly large snail. I haven't seen one that size here, in northern Idaho.

  17. It's one of the animals I found quite exotic when I arrived in the UK, actually. I only ever saw snails in a plate before, cooked in garlic butter.

  20. So slow, and yet still partly out of focus... It must be the Speedy Gonzales of snails.

  22. Your posts are highly concentrated, simple but containing multitudes. Sorry I have not been able to visit as much as I would like recently. Visiting my husband everyday at hospice is challenging. Draining. It's remarkable how well I am doing despite serious grief and many details to handle that he always took care of. I just wanted you to know I have not been neglecting to visit out of forgetfulness. Wishing you all the best Bill. What a happy party to see all these familiar and some new names! Aloha to you
