signs2

pay and display parking in Donegal Town.  Not all towns have these type of rules only the bigger towns do.

if  you don't have a ticket displayed in your car window, you'll be fined.  Fines run from €40-€80

  1. Por la cuenta que trae, hay que adquirir ese tickes, que impide ser multado.

  2. Slowly but surely, this method of raising money is spreading all over europe. For the unsuspecting visitor sometimes a surprise when he or she gets the bill.

  3. It’s pretty common here too. Any way to generate money for politicians and bureaucrats to waste.

  4. Paid and displayed or fined...fair enough!

  5. Aquilo que mostra é um procedimento comum em todas as cidades.

  7. Hi Bill.

Nice entrance in the first photo.

    Greetings from Patricia.

  8. Very interesting. Well, you get taxed for just about anything here..dine in tax. Fees for the city. And still unfortunately, crime is up.

  9. Paid parking is the norm around here, especially in the big cities, Bill. Blessings!

  10. ...I find these parking meters confusing!

  11. We don't have this method of paying for parking. We have parking meters for every parking space. Your system is more efficient.

  12. That is the usual way of paying for parking here too, Bill. There are still a few parking meters around but I think their days are numbered.

  13. We used to have machines like that where you got a ticket and displayed it. Now it is done on an app. I have no idea what you do if you don't have a smart phone.

  14. There are lots of these pay and display lots around here. They are especially prevalent on the Arizona State University campus.

  15. Wow, that's pretty pricey of a fine. I've not been to a shopping area where you have to pay to park. I don't think that would go over well around here. There are some lots in the downtown area with that type of paying arrangement, but shopping centers all have free parking and lots of it.

  18. In the Netherlands, we have a system for parking and payment that often involves the use of digital parking apps or parking meters too. 🅿️📱💳 I love you photos.

  20. They've started to put those in my city, too. They're very annoying!

  24. Hello Bill :=)
New parking meters are going up everywhere in my city. If you rent an apartment which doesn't include a garage space,....you have to walk or suck it up!

  25. Haven't come across anything like that around here.

  26. Some places have that, but in our closest town, there are parking meters that are never checked.

  27. Great revenue for the local admin!

  28. Here we have manual collection of parking charges.

  29. We've just got that system here. It's going to take some getting used to.
