  8. My great grandfather, from Ireland divided his land with small stone walls. When I saw them in Ireland, it was an incredible moment to realize he had taken a tradition from his homeland with him to his new home.

  10. I love a stone wall. We had several on the farm I grew up on in Pennsylvania. I have always had a stack of stones somewhere on the different properties I have lived on. Several times I have had people ask me if I was Irish-- because of the stones. lol.

  19. Awesome to notice. We have some stonewalls in the hill country of Texas a lot like this. The German settlements were the ones I'm told who started it. Love the photo!

  20. I always think about the tremendous amount of work it took to build a stone wall. When I was a kid on the farm we had to pick stones from the fields. I was awful.
