    Not a fan of the woods, but I love the smell.

  12. Here in Georgia, USA, we have a lot of tall pine trees. We use pine straw around our plants to help keep weeds away and to hold in moisture during the dry months, and to keep the roots warm during the cold months.

  17. The stumps of the parent trees have weathered a while since they were harvested, so those pine needles have been waiting for you to walk on them since before then.

  23. Pine needles make a soft surface to walk on, but other plants have a hard time with the acid they contribute to the soil.
