road work

I wondered why there was a traffic jam and found the answer at the bottom of the hill.

  1. I guess there is no good time to replace the pipes! I love seeing the buildings. Wishing you a nice day, Bill.

  2. That is not a traffic jam, you need to come here for that

  4. Roads need maintenance, good to see they do their job.

  5. The work has to be done! So nice to see the coloured houses in the first photo.

  8. Looks like a busy day in Moville! I would reiterate Andy's comment, too. It may be busy in Moville but you ain't seen nothing yet! Even our little Ocala is harried and hectic and jammed and jostled and not much fun anymore!

  9. I just drove to FL (and back). What a mess I found on several of the Interstates. One was backed up (going the other way) for 6 or 7 hours-a fatal accident on a 2 lane interstate in the mountains and no way for people to get around it. I was so glad I was going in the other direction! Have a great Thursday!

  10. Traffic Jams like above are found “Somewhere In Michigan” as well!
And usually I get stuck in one when I need to be someplace ON TIME.
Nothing like a traffic jam “Somewhere In Ireland” though . . .
(Narrow Roads can present Standstill’s for hours . . )

  11. That will get the traffic backing up pretty fast.

  13. Hello Bill.
The good news is that they are replacing the water pipes!
The bad news is the traffic jam! Love the colored houses in the first picture!
    Enjoy your day!

    God bless.

  15. They always do road works where people like to travel. Why can't they do road works far away where no one ever travels; so they don't disrupt the traffic?

    God bless.

  16. oohhhh road works, sometimes I wonder why they do them in the day instead of night, would be more convenient.

  17. Repairs or renewals are always needed ...
I wish they would repair some of our potholes ... they are getting worse!

I enjoyed seeing your pictures, thanks.

    All the best Jan

  18. Water pipes will do it. Our water pipes have to be at least 8 ft. Underground.

  19. A bit of inconvenience for the larger good. Well captured.

  20. Those aren't popular projects...unless, of course, a pipe has burst. Then the workers are unexpected heroes.

  21. These inconveniences are such a nuisance at the time, but usually worth it!

  22. I know the term "traffic jam" is a relative thing, but it's always an inconvenience.
