buncrana garda station
one of the newer Garda Stations on the Inishowen Peninsula.
Well this was a bit unexpected Bill :) It's so modern compared to the lovely old buildings in Moville.. but I expect the police have to keep up to date.. I do love the old lamppost out front, a wee touch of 'old'.
Lovely building.

Groettie from Patricia.
The lamppost is in strange contrast with the modern building but both look good.
ReplyDeleteGone is the old barrack style station as this new one look more 'open' & less severe!
ReplyDeleteBut the old lamp post is a nice feature!
I think it is a police station? A nice glass entrance.
ReplyDeleteQuite modern, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteGosto da arquitectura da estação.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

Good to have a new building for them.
ReplyDeleteHa Bill, mooi modern gebouw Bill en ook behoorlijk groot. De ronding tussen de hoeken maken het gebouw vriendelijk van aanzien.
ReplyDeletegroet Kees
They are probably happy with their modern building!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely has a modern look.
ReplyDeleteHere in D.C. we would describe that as a skateboard park, although those cobblestones might be a little rough. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks impressive.

ReplyDeleteThat's quite a station! I have a photo of one that actually had flower boxes in the windows of what looked like a very sweet cottage.
ReplyDelete...I had to google Garda Stations!
ReplyDeleteVery modern. Not the kind of architecture I always imagine for Ireland.
