    The use of stone you never see in the Netherlands. Its just not there in contrast to clay what lays on every field and as river bottom so instead we have bricks. Wonder why the windows are gone but it makes a nice composition on your photo.

    The stonework is wonderful Bill, you couldn't get a more textured wall, this one was built to last.. so close to the water's edge too!
