washing the bin
keeping the town looking nice. There are a bunch of these volunteers around the town getting ready for tourists.
Our beautification committee has planted and mulched lots of beds and planters for our tourist season. I am glad they are energetic, but sad that they use so many dull plants which are probably chosen for endurance and low maintenance. I miss petunias and marigolds!
I'm glad to hear that people actually volunteer to keep their town beautiful, Bill. I wish more people here on the other side of the pond would step up like that.
I've never seen a bin washed. Except when I did it, once, when I lived in a house share in Liverpool. The kitchen bin got so disgusting I had to wash it with soapy water. Disgusting.
A nice sight to see, Bill! If we all did our part, cleaning up would be so much easier. Thank you so much for sharing. I will have a new post tomorrow on my blog.
Good to have these dedicated community- minded citizens.
ReplyDelete...cleanliness is next to Godliness.

ReplyDeleteYou caught a great deal of action on the street. I hope your town is not overrun by tourists, but they do spend money and help the economy.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know those tourists will be coming. In fact, my friend Julie just landed in Ireland this morning.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I've never seen anything like that done here!
ReplyDeleteThey need to start doing that here! Good shot Bill :-D
ReplyDeleteGood for them, Bill. We should all do our bit to help out.

ReplyDeleteGood on people for getting out there and cleaning things up.
A good work!

Bless them for wanting to and keeping the town clean for themselves and others including the tourists.
ReplyDeleteWow! Nothing more to add but that!
ReplyDeleteWashing the outside, not so bad. Washing the inside -- not a fun job!
ReplyDeleteVery nice to see
ReplyDeleteWell done to the community volunteers.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
É isso que eu chamo de manter uma boa higiene!

I can confidently say I have witnessed anyone in our town washing a bin!
ReplyDeleteOs turistas merecem uma cidade limpa, Bill feliz quinta-feira abraços.
ReplyDeleteIncredible volunteers. I like to offer to help with cabinet painting for my neighbors, but I don't think I could volunteer to clean trash bins.
ReplyDeleteLove the community spirit.
ReplyDeleteA good thing to do.
ReplyDeleteNever seen that in person.
