Christmas decorations
taking down the Christmas decorations in Donegal Town's Diamond. They were in the process when we arrived around 12:30, this past Tuesday.
you can see part of the Christmas tree on the right
That's a big job. It's always much more exciting to see them being put in place before Christmas....but...the old saying----what goes up must come down. Diana
Interesting to see them putting down the white paths for the big tires to roll upon...maybe to avoid some kind of damage to the surface of the pavement?
WOW! Great photos. My house is decorated with ornaments and a Christmas tree until February 2nd <3 Best regards, and I invite you to see my new painting :)
Such a sad sight... but yea, life goes on.
ReplyDeleteOnly eleven months and eight days to go until Christmas again. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd that's it for another year.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Bill. God bless.
Happens every year.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteTidy up until December this year.
Greetings from Patricia.
Taking down decorations is never as much fun as putting them up, but it has to be done. Great photos, Bill!
ReplyDeleteSad, but nice to record a community event taking place.
ReplyDeleteMay
This morning I saw some neighbours' holiday decorations are still there...
ReplyDeleteA big job to put them up and to take them down.

For a city or town that's probably a big job. It's hard enough at home!

A big job. I see they are protecting the pavement from the rubber on those big tires.
ReplyDeleteNo snow…again. Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteWhat's next? Valentines?
ReplyDeleteThese city workers have the right tool for the job. I'm sure that high lift can reach the highest lights on the Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteIt is over. We could still use the lights to brighten things up at this time of year, Bill.
ReplyDeleteIt is time to take the decorations down. Take care, have a great day and happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteGot to admit the one in our village went quickly and they did not have a cherry picker like that
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe workers had their job cut out for them!
ReplyDeleteDown and saved for next year.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is well and truly over! :-D
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these photos!
ReplyDeleteYes, Christmas is down and put away ready and waiting for this coming December.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Da pena cuando quitan las decoraciones de navidad.. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteIt's the ugly side of the party... Have a comfortable and restful January. A hug, dear friend. ☀️🌲💚
ReplyDeleteA big job, and happening in towns everywhere right now! Poor guys.
ReplyDeleteAlways a bit bittersweet to see the decorations come down, but it makes next Christmas all the more exciting!
ReplyDeleteA big job done till next year. Nice captures.
ReplyDeleteNow we are waiting for spring
ReplyDeleteSuch is the way.
ReplyDeleteIt's that time of year, to put all the decorations away.
ReplyDeletePara facilitar a montagem e desmontagem da decoração de Natal, o ideal é que a celebração natalina aconteça três vezes ao ano. rsrsrsrs
ReplyDeleteNova tirinha publicada. 😺
Abraços 🐾 Garfield Tirinhas Oficial.
That task is common in all towns and cities at this time of year.
