The poor tree had already been amputated for trespassing on someone else's property... That's sad. Good captures and an interesting visual effect... Great Sunday. ~~~
Now that gives a whole new meaning to that song, "I'm still standing.." We have a similar situation in a neighborhood near here after a bad storm we had this past June. They are trying to salvage the tree. Those trees we lost, there are already new trees planted. Still there are a lot of trees that shouldn't be where they are...so close to the house that they fall on them during a storm.
wow that's a huge difference!
ReplyDeleteMore attractive now . . . uhm, minus the clothesline. :-)

Great photos, Bill of then ... and now.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I´d be scared to sit under the tree to the right.
ReplyDeleteBut... strong he is - what does that pole hold?
it's for a clothesline.
DeletePoor tree!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt is sad to see the tree cut down. I guess the tree was dying?
Have a happy day and a great new week!
A typical case of out balance. But it stil stands.
ReplyDeleteRequiem for a tree.
ReplyDeletePoor old tree!
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it was a nice tree.
Greetings from Patricia.
...I like the windswept tree.
ReplyDeletePoor tree. Last week we had a storm here.

ReplyDeleteThey didn't remove the stump. Not a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThe owners have some practical ideas about what stays, and what goes.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that tree has half a life left....lol.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the tree but I love all that green.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the tree needed to be cut down.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad to see the trees disappear!
ReplyDeleteI'm Stumped - I Know, Cheesy
ReplyDeleteCheers
That tree had a hard life and a sad end. The fence looks good.
ReplyDeleteWas it really necessary to cut it?..
ReplyDeleteI guess the tree was in danger of falling down, Bill!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they were afraid it was going to fall down.
ReplyDeleteEspero que não façam mais modificações na árvore Bill.
ReplyDeleteA shame about the tree, but I do like that fence, the greenery in the foreground and trees behind.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
It was a good looking tree.
ReplyDeleteI remember that tree from last year - it was a neat old tree.
ReplyDeleteSad to see any tree being cut down.
ReplyDeleteUy que triste lo del árbol me imagino que estaba enfermo y por eso lo quitaron. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteHopefully another tree was planted somewhere.
ReplyDeletePoor old tree had seen it's day.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see the old and new together..
As much as I love trees, it looks like this one wasn't looking too good anyway, loving your header btw
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how stumps never do look quite as good as trees. That was one crazy looking crooked tree!
