quiet rainy day

Nothing exciting here when I went outside.  I saw one person walking way down the street, no one else around.  Rainy day, pouring down at times so I went back in and had a cuppa tea.

Statue of John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara is located in the center of Cong, a little town in Western Ireland. The statue of two actors is located here, because I. This town shot the film "The Quiet Man" in the 50's. Nowadays, it is a nice statue, where you can see the two actors.

Yesterday's photo of the Cong River has the old Monks' fishing house on the Cong River.  I forgot to mention that so some people didn't see that when I updated it.

a simple tree

our first Christmas tree as a married couple back in 1980.  My mother gave us this tree and some ornaments.  I believe that is a star on the tree that Shari made out of cardboard and covered with aluminum foil.

has been issued for over 3,000 homes in Glenties and Ardara, as a result of Storm Darragh.   We have to use boiled water to brush our teeth and drink, of course this is after it has cooled,  but we can shower.  Hopefully this won't last long.
