  1. Hi Bill.

    Nice those old school buses.
Too bad they are not maintained.

  2. My father worked for Atlanta Georgia's bus company for 44 years. When I was in high school, I accompanied him to Germany where buses were being manufactured. In our country, some people are rehabilitating old buses as travel homes.

  3. The school bus I used in the 1960s was nearly as wrecked as some of those! I still remember the registration, LKH 272!

  5. They look abandoned, but fairly modern. Is this a "graveyard" for buses?

    1. These were the only buses there so I really don't know. Maybe they use the old buses for parts but you'd think the parts would be outdated in today's buses.

  6. All of our school buses here are bright yellow with black stripes...and some have white shiny tops. What a great picture of the bus boneyard though. Diana

  7. My 7 year old grandson is fascinated with school buses and knows all the makes and models just by looking at them. He says he's going to be a school bus driver when he grows up. I like the look of flat nosed school buses the most, but we didn't have when I was in school.

  9. They look more luxurious than our school buses.

  10. Looks like a school bus junkyard. We've got one of those just south of Ocala. These are different than our buses...we're still using the old yellow things with no seat belts!

  11. A rather sad sight, like a bus graveyard.

  16. You mean you didn't have yellow school buses? All our school buses were yellow.

  17. I daresay there are probably buses from this vintage still in service in the U.S.

  18. I do like this photograph, although the buses somehow look a little forlorn as they sit there together!

    All the best Jan
