country house

about a 20 minute walk from town.  That is the driveway you see, it's a long one.

  1. In both B&W and color photos, this house is quite striking. The long driveway gives it additional charm and dignity. I particularly like the color photo because of its composition and a bit closer view. The symmetry of the facade is lovely, too.

  2. I prefer the first photo too, nice composition. I see the leaves have all fallen now.

  5. I must say that the color one gives me the feeling of Ireland. The B&W not so.

  14. I wouldn't want to shovel snow off that driveway! But it would probably be worth it to get to that beautiful house! Nice shots, Bill! I prefer the color in this instance. Not sure why, perhaps because the house is white and needs some color surrounding it. :)

  19. I like both shots. Each is very nice in its own way and it's good to have them both to compare. I love the colors and balance in the first one and the way the shapes and perspective are highlighted in the second.
