road bridge

This is one of three road bridges that go over the Garavogue River in Sligo.  Sligo also has two pedestrian bridges of which I showed you one yesterday.  These road bridges also allow people to fish.  I seen a few people fishing but I didn't see any fish.  Hopefully they were lucky!

  2. I've a thing for bridges (maybe that's one reason I like Paris so much!). This is a beauty - very old, it appears. I've fished off of bridges, too, but never had a lot of luck. Not a bad way to relax, though, even if you don't catch any fish. :)

  3. Thank you. I have read on the internet about this river. There's also fought earlier near this river somewhere? Ships can not sail here, I think? You make my world and geographical knowledge more bigger :-) Thank you

  4. Beautiful. I like both the heft of the stone bridge and the beauty of the flowers along the side in the first image.

  6. Gorgeous sturdy old bridge Bill, look at all that fab moss growing on it! Wonder if it was fresh fish for dinner that night :)

  9. Another nice bridge. Looks old. People with fishing rod not always coming to catch the fish, sometimes they try to catch inner peace. Greetings from Bergen
