Carndonagh's defibrillator

Funds raised by the Neal Martin Memorial Fund committee were used to erect a phone box, that contains a public defibrillator for the townspeople of Carndonagh.
How it works is when you call the emergency services, they supply you with details of your nearest defibrillator & PIN number to gain entry.  They now have three defibrillators available 24/7 in Carndonagh in case of an emergency.  They have started a course of training for the local community on how to use the defibrillators.

  1. That is very good for everyone who needs immediate help.

  2. Very nice but you always need someone to use it. Better if such a person is also at hand.

  3. That's good news, we have the same things here too, I know where the nearest one is where I use to work but have no idea whether there is one near where we live.

  7. You guys make me green with envy. These days in the US someone needing medical help is told to go home and die. What a wonderful idea. Some golf courses have such machines on hand for us old duffers who decide to nose-dive to the turf.

Thanks for your wonderfully funny comment on Ocala! Hope you're having a great day!

  15. I think it is a good idea. Hope those who need it are not too far gone to remember a pin number and how to use it. I would probably hope a paramedic is nearby.
