the old roof was taken off about two weeks ago and now they are starting to build a new one. Tons of work on the building, it will take a very long time. It was raining and windy for those workers all day yesterday.
The Christmas lights were installed around town the other night.
Work yourself warm, oh, what a job - and Christmas lights already?! Aw, well, why not, anything that brightens up this grey, right!
ReplyDeleteLets hope that bad weather will stay away while they are working on the new roof.
ReplyDeleteI am retired and I really like watching people work. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am sure hey are used to working in all kinds of weather. They don't have to like it, but it's nothing they haven't dealt with before.
ReplyDeleteNot the best time of year to renovate a roof. Here they have been replacing the roofing on a small neighborhood since August, but due to land rains it is still not finished.
ReplyDeleteEs muy sacrificado el trabajo de constructor, tiene que estar expuestos a las inclemencias del clima. Y me parece muy temprano para las luces navideñas, quizas le da a la ciudad una mirada mas alegre.
ReplyDeleteUn beso enorme Bill.
Yes buildings needs repair, whatever the weather brings...
ReplyDeleteNot the best weather for roof repairs Bill, but I'm sure they are used to it ✨
ReplyDeleteLooks like a restoration project you found there
ReplyDeleteneed to repair before Christmas eve
ReplyDeleteGlad to see two positive things happening...workers being employed, and a building being restored! Oh and the third possibility, a celebration of the season with the Christmas lights.
ReplyDeleteIt must be difficult to work in rainy and windy weather up on a roof.
ReplyDelete😊
ReplyDelete...there will always be construction work to do.
ReplyDeleteSteady Eddie There Mr Bill
ReplyDeleteCheers
Construction continues despite the pandemic. Yes, a great deal of work.
ReplyDeleteHa Bill. Dat is een van de belangrijkste onderdelen bij de bouw. Veilig bovenal.
ReplyDeleteGroet Kees.
Good that there' reconstruction rather than demolition..
ReplyDeleteIt is miserable working in the rain.
ReplyDeleteRepairs and rebuilding of old buildings never ends! Ours is over 100 years old and we are always doing something.
ReplyDeleteDebe de ser muy duro trabajar con las inclemencias del tiempo.
ReplyDeleteBuenas Noches
It's amazing how they make/build new roofs. I've seen it done.
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Bill.
They have a hard job, in wind and all kinds of weather.
ReplyDeleteIt will look nice with the Christmas lights!
Not easy weather for working in!
ReplyDeleteI always like it when the Christmas Lights start going up :)
All the best Jan
A hard time of year to do that work.
ReplyDeleteHard work made harder by the weather!
ReplyDeleteWe have our lights and bulbs raring to go.
Hard to work outside on cold rainy days.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Christmas lights on some of the houses around here already.
That is a big job and one that will be well to be done with! No Christmas lights outside here yet. I am looking forward to that bit of cheer here this year though. Hugs- Diana
ReplyDeleteA new normal Christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteGot to have a good roof over the house/hotel or whatever, keeps the rain out - and poor men having to work in all kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteThe light will look good when turned on in the dusk and dark..
Take care.
Guys hard at work!
ReplyDeleteit will be a nice time soon for all the christmas lights
