the town replaced the old slow charge with the new faster one.
According to the ESB website: If you're driving an EV with a battery size of 60 kWh, this means you'll pay around €33 for a standard charge at a public electric car charge point. Use a fast charger, and you can expect to pay around €39.
In Australia, the super charge is usually taken up by some users as parking space
ReplyDeleteOver here you get fined if you park in this space and are not charging your car.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Interesting. Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteI expect people will be willing topay extra for speed and efficiency.
ReplyDeleteThe speedy charge is nice, is that price more or less than a tank of gas?
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day!
I´m so glad I have no car anymore! And I´d never drive an e-car, way too dangerous still?
ReplyDeleteNo me seduce conducir, prefiero los transportes públicos y viajo tranquila.
ReplyDeleteQue tengas un buen día.
...the future is here.
ReplyDeleteI thought fast charger would be cheaper.
ReplyDeleteAs Tom said, the future is here, a co-worker bought an e-car for her girls to learn to drive. I am still in my old Honda Fit that everyone thinks is an e-car, but isn't.
ReplyDeleteSome chargers here are free. Others a few dollars. Those you describe are expensive.
ReplyDeleteWe'll never own one...the Lithium batteries here run about (for a Ford Mustang) Rivian battery...around $18,000 US dollars. The list is incredible with shocking replacement cost! So, no thanks.
ReplyDeletehugs

No matter how you look at it, filling up with gasoline is still a whole lot faster.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that it costs so much to simply charge up the car! That's about $50 here, same as a tank of gasoline.

ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday ,
Cheers
I guess I save a lot of money riding my bikes.
ReplyDeleteI had never heard anything about recharging prices before.
ReplyDeleteThat is more expensive than I realized, Bill.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised it's so expensive.
ReplyDeleteThere are some here and there.
ReplyDeleteQuite costly for a charge, Bill. I never knew the electric cars were popular in Ireland. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think you have photographed our future. That is roughly the same price of filling a fuel tank of a gas guzzling car.
ReplyDeleteThat's as expensive as in the US...I guess I'm a bit surprised. Hope things are well in Ireland.
ReplyDeleteWe have some charging stations around here too.
ReplyDeleteA bit pricey.
ReplyDeleteIt's a familiar piece of equipment, they are just about everywhere here.
ReplyDeleteThey are everywhere now!
ReplyDeleteHi Bill, I don't have a car but I like to see how things look in different parts of the world. Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️
ReplyDeleteI never thought of the cost. But of course there’s a charge. It still means the people have to figure out something to do while their car charges. Go shop, go to the library, go eat.
ReplyDeleteElectric cars are NOT for me!!
ReplyDeleteCharging stations are popping up everywhere ... but of course they are needed.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Here in the US president Biden pushed for EV cars and charging stations. The "thing" in the white house now has done away with charging stations and even though there was funding for more he has put a stop to them. Welcome to America.
ReplyDeleteWish they had more of these where I live. My daughter just got an electric car and she has issues with finding a place to charge it (other than home.)
ReplyDeleteTime is money. I expect most people would pay a little more for the fast charge
ReplyDeleteThe prime movers of the future!
