saturday critters

spotted this slug on the river trail.  There are always a few of them out and about on misty mornings.  It took him a long time to get in a posing position.

  7. Did you know a slug is a claustrophobic snail? He can't stay in his shell.

I saw a slug in the garden once. It was going so fast I had use a special speed and aperture in the camera - like photographing the Grand Prix races!

    God bless.

  12. I hope he/she was pleased with his/her portrait. I think I would have avoided her rather than asking her to pose for me. Something about things that slither along the ground...

  27. I never realized they were that long, Bill, as the ones I found occasionally in our garden were not as cooperative in showing off.

  30. Fact of life here too, tho I don’t see as many as we used to. Maybe because we aren’t here during the real rainy season. (That May change this coming year...Florida’s not looking likely at the moment.)
