That yellow is of course sunlight against the underside of the clouds but they also contain a lot of vapor with perhaps dust or sand to get that yellow.
The sky is different, as sc describes. The hotel's top floor has very uniform dormer windows, which in my eyes is quite attractive. I wonder if there are rooms up there also?
