tree lighting

the Christmas Tree's lights were turned on last night and even the rain couldn't stop it. :)

  10. There's just something about Christmas...and it's exciting enough to get a bunch of people out in the cold and rain to see an old pine/fir tree covered with lights to get lit! I'll be many of these folks retired to a nice warm pub. Well, that's what I would have done! :)

  17. And you get plenty of it. This could be in any (non-arid) place in America, too.

    The weather and time of year made me thing of Joyce's famous opening line, "The snow was general all over Ireland." I dont imagine that happens much.
