break time

The guy walking just finished checking his boat to make sure it was secured.  His buddy, sitting on the wall, was taking a break and talking to the driver of the oil truck.  Below are three different photos of the scene.  I like the one with the oil truck because of the colour it adds to the image.  Also in the photo is the art piece, The Fid, created by Derry artist Locky Morris

  1. Fantástica aquela escultura que serve para sinalizar a entrada do porto.
    Um abraço e boa semana.

  2. Thanks for telling about The Fid, it's an interesting marker at the end of the pier.

  3. I agree -- I prefer the top pic with the colorful truck (although, I'm curious as to why it was in that seemingly remote location). That public art sculpture is interesting! We have an extensive public art collection in Sarasota (which, at some point, I will share on SDP when I'm not chasing wildlife). One thing I've learned: art always creates a discussion -- good, bad or otherwise.

  4. The Fid is faaaaabulous Bill, really enjoyed the information on the link but I loved it even before I knew it's significance to the spot it's on!

  6. The sculpture certainly is big when you have the truck and boat in the shots.

  8. Anyone works but I like the one with the truck also as it lends a bit more interest. The sculpture makes a lot of sense when you know what it is all about! Great shots, Bill!
