skywatch
came across lady liberty when were heading to Dungloe from Killybegs at the end of Jan. It was very strange, it just popped in to view when we came around a curve in the road. At night the bulb on the torch lights up. It overlooks Gweebarra Bay towards the sand dunes of Dooey Beach.
I would love to know the story behind this. :)

bank of ireland
built in 1905 as two fine townhouse residences: Dungloe's first semi detached houses. A newspaper advert from 1909: "Spacious semi detached villa to be let or sold, containing two reception rooms and six bedrooms, situated in midst of good shooting and fishing district". In October 1920, the National Bank Ltd. (from 1969, Bank of Ireland) opened a branch here.
