off the farm
these tractor owners drop off their kids at school which is across the road. Seeing someone drive a tractor around town is not unusual but I imagine it could be a bit spendy.
It seems unusual for tractors to drop off the school kids. Tractors are a common sight here, riding on the roads from farm to farm. Take care, have a happy day!
That is such a classic small-town sight! There’s something so charming about a tractor in the school drop-off line, though you’re definitely right the fuel costs for that "school bus" must be through the roof. I actually just shared a new post that you might find interesting as well. Check it out here:
Here farmers drive their damn trackers on the roads doing 20mph. They won't pull over to allow the hundreds of cars behind them go past. And most of the roads are not passing roads. The law here is to put them on a truck and transport them that way. It is very irritating. So forgive me if this photo doesn't do much for me. LOL Have a nice day.
For sure costly .
ReplyDeleteHaha school tractor run! Good shot. :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Bill.
ReplyDeleteWould be an odd sight here.
ReplyDeleteCool shot, Bill. Here, there's tons of pick-up trucks dropping their kids off.

Amazing to see, good capture, Bill.
ReplyDeleteYes, paying for petrol for those could be a chunk of change!
ReplyDeleteUse tractors to bring kids to the school..that's very unusual.
ReplyDeleteOh, it does sound like something folks used to do in our farming community back in Texas. Interesting shot.
ReplyDeleteQuite a shot!

...Bill, here I rarely see tractors off the farm!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in Illinois, I remember seeing tractors around town. I don't see them here in Phoenix at all.
ReplyDeleteA bit different.
ReplyDeleteThey must be moving out to the land where they dol their work.
ReplyDeleteQuite unusual! Great photo, Bill!
ReplyDeleteCool photo.
ReplyDeleteIt would be out of place here.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great shot, Bill. I love it.

ReplyDeleteThat's funny that they drive the tractors like that to get places.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of when we were in Switzerland. It was common to see tractors being driven through town as if it were a car or truck.
ReplyDeleteMy son used to be obsessed with tractors as a toddler. Still is sometimes. We still do tractors spotting when we see them.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the tractors!!
ReplyDeleteUy cuantos tractores. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteTaking the children to school by tractor is a little different from usual. Each one uses what is most convenient for them.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
Happy Thursday And What A Day In A Life There Mr Bill
ReplyDeleteWay Cool ,
Cheers
Diesel? May be cheaper to drop the kid off at school and keep on working that way. :-)
ReplyDeleteMust be fun going to school by tractor.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Being dropped off at school by tractor ... now that's something I've not seen.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Such a great glimpse into everyday life in Donegal.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not your everyday drop-off!
Parabéns pela foto, meu querido amigo Bill.
ReplyDeleteCertainly a common thing to see here, especially in a country rural town.
