Xtra-Vision Xpress

I didn't know these machines were still around.  I don't watch movies so I wasn't aware people still rent DVDs.  I would think streaming is the way to go these days, it's a lot more convenient.  This machine was located in a shopping plaza and currently out of order.

 Wednesday was a rainbow day for me. 

#3 this month was the view from our hall window.  It was around 09:30.

#4 seen in Dungloe when we rode the bus there.  It was around 11:15

#5 seen again in Dungloe about an hour a later.

this Irish bookshop has been closed during covid.  I don't know if it will open again but I hope so.  If you wish to study the language, this is where you can get everything you need to get started.

 Leo's Tavern is a restaurant and pub in the Donegal Gaeltacht, known as the home of music artists Clannad, Enya and Moya Brennan. The pub opened in 1968 and held Irish traditional music sessions nightly, becoming the musical starting block for the children of Leo Brennan, the pub's founder.

up the road from the beach,  about a 5 min walk.  Needs some TLC.  It is vacant and I don't know the status of the house but I like it.

umbrellas

I saw these umbrellas last week when I was walking by the bin.  The are useless in rain with strong winds.  I always see some people struggling to keep their umbrella functioning  right and then it happens, it gets blown inside out.  Next stop is a bin.

coins for cash

if you have lots of change then this is the machine you want to use.  You have to go in to the store and tell a worker you want to use the machine.  Once the person comes with the key, you pour your change in to the slot and get your receipt.  The whole process takes only a few minutes.  They keep the machine locked to avoid jammed coins and a breakdown.  There are no banks in town to take your change because they all closed down.

the 966

bus coming through Bunbeg at 11:15 on its way to Dungloe.  Local Link provides a great service to the people who live in rural Ireland.  The bus, along with other bus services, are free with a travel pass.  Once you reach 65 you qualify.

a new construction project in the neighborhood.  I wonder what it will be.  I took this photo a couple of weeks ago on the way to the library.  I'll be checking on it when I go again.

crappy day

with a crappy photo.  Went outside and took this one photo, I don't like it but it will do. :)   The wind came and brought some hail with it just in case we wanted it.  And in the afternoon, I started sneezing and couldn't stop for a bit.  Crazy!

the first rainbow of 2022.  It rained most of the day (Sunday) and when it stopped the rainbow appeared.  It didn't last very long before it got dark again and the rain returned.
